both carriker in much about the military and our troops. i want to make clear to you that mitt romney will do everything, and provide everything that is needed to the united states armed forces to make sure they have everything they need when deployed overseas. host: on twitter, they want to respond to one of our callers. they did say it was an act of terror. mitt romney's precise comment in a recent debate was false. obama did describe the events as an act of terror twice. some officials of the obama administration suggested that the united states had no indication that it was a planned assault. did you have any response to that? guest: i would point out that, several times the obama situation pointed to it being a protest that got out of hand. i do believe that the white house was not straight forward with the american people from the beginning. host: florida, on our independent line. caller: question to the chair person -- and why did the candidates go into the michigan or ohio area and to make a statement about relocating to china? and never retracted the statement or put out anyt
that? guest: well, i think both sides agree the politics haven't gotten any more beautiful. that's for sure. but with respect with the romney campaign and the campaign here, this is a campaign about the country's future. wisconsin we've lost just under 100,000 jobs under president obama. we've talked about thing that is affect families and affect neighborhoods and health care and jobs. wisconsin really has suffered as much as almost any state with the loss of those jobs in the slowdown in economic activity. it's punishing the working people of the state. so what i would say to you in general terms is that we need a better economy. we need to have more jobs. we need to have a better future. so everybody's future is going to get better when this economy gets back on its feet. and it's not 43 months of over % unemployment. that doesn't help working people, it doesn't help anybody. so we have to turn that around. that's what governor romney is focused on. host: let me get your perspective on this. he just makes this perspective. how would you respond to that? guest: well, having intr
they are visiting. mitt romney spent a lot of time in the richmond area. some of those areas voted for obama. there is no way for a republican tool win -- they are both campaigning in virginia. he needs to do well in those execs that i mentioned. -- excerpts that i mentioned. loudon county is less diverse, but still important. >> we take you to west chester, ohio where mitt romney and paul ryan are holding a rally tonight. speaking now is virginia governor bob mcdonnell. live coverage here on c-span. >> we will have a great celebration next tuesday. [cheers and applause] this is a very serious election as you know. this is about restoring the american dream. this is about getting the greatest country on earth out of debt and back to work. this is about leadership for the future, our kids, and grandkids. this is about the positive romney-ryan-ronald vision. it is a series election. there is only one candidate that has a vision for getting our country back to work. the status quo of this on a planet is unacceptable. we need mitt romney in the white house to turn this economy around. [applause]
